Vocalocity is one of the fastest growing and most popular providers of VOIP-based calling services to small businesses, already serving thousands of business customers each year. Affordable and flexible, Vocalocity pride themselves on being able to provide some of the best features available in any communications package whilst simultaneously offering customers low-priced packages that give businesses room to grow, even in the most difficult of business climates. Furthermore, a recent merger with ApTela, another growing provider of small business VOIP services will undoubtedly lead to improved service for all users – making this a great choice for anyone looking to integrate VOIP into their business communications system.
The sheer range of features on offer at Vocalocity help to explain why this service is one of the most popular we have reviewed. Users an enjoy Call Forwarding, Call Waiting, call recording and excellent voicemail features, all of which come as standard with all Vocalocity packages. The voicemail features are particularly good, offering customers remote access and voicemail-to-email transcription, giving users a further way to access and manage their messages. All packages also benefit from a virtual receptionist, pre-recorded greetings and virtual departments – giving operators and administrators complete control over the structure of the phone system and how callers interact with it. Apps for iPhones and Android phones mean the service can seamlessly integrate with mobile users, regardless of how many use the system or where they are located. Finally, users can also opt-in to a collection of “add-on” features including paperless faxing, call groups and many more.
Vocalocity offers a number of packages and plans that aim to appeal to businesses of different sizes and operational structures. The basic plan “Virtual” is charged at $14.99 per month, per extension and offers most of Vocalocity’s commonly used features – making it ideal for a home office or small enterprise. The unlimited plan, by contrast, is charged at $39.99 per month, per extension, and offers customers unlimited minutes alongside all of the service’s features, with add-ons charged at an additional rate. Although it may be difficult to understand at first which sort of plan is right for your organization, there’s no contract and no cancellation charges – so you’re free to move between plans to find something that’s right for you (or just add extensions as your business grows).
It’s easy to see why Vocalocity is so popular. Not only does it provide a great range of features, it’s also affordable and practically effortless to install and use. Although it doesn’t quite make it into our top ten in this category, we were impressed by what was on offer here and it remains a viable alternative to traditional phone systems. Check it out today!
