Lingo is a VOIP-based calling service that lets users save money whilst also improving the management of calls. Lingo states that its packages can help users “break free from your overpriced phone company and benefit from a better service, too”. While we were impressed at the features on offer here (not to mention the call quality), it remains to be seen, given the price of the plans and packages on offer at Lingo, whether users would be able to save any particularly large amount of money on their phone charges…
In terms of features, Lingo offers users more than 20 functions and tools that help to improve the overall quality of the service. Users can benefit from Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, voicemail services and more, all of which come as standard with all Lingo packages. Installing the service is also a breeze, requiring no technical knowledge or expertise at all and taking just a matter of minutes, so you really can be up and running in no time!
Lingo offers a range of packages which help generate cost-savings for businesses that use the service. The World Select package is available from $23.95 per month and offers customers unlimited calls to US and Canadian numbers, along with 1000 minutes to more than 65 international destinations. As an alternative, customers can opt for the World Unlimited package, which includes (for the same price of the World Select package) unlimited calls to the US, Canada and 45 international countries. The same package is available with inclusive mobile minutes (for $56.95), helping those users who communicate with their clients through cellphones save money too. While the range of packages on offer means that there’s likely to be something suited to almost every small business, the cost of these packages does place Lingo at the top end of a competitive market.
While we enjoyed checking out what Lingo had to offer its customers and were impressed by its features, Lingo misses out on a top spot in our reviews in this category because its pricing structure means that this service will probably cost more in the long run than most other services we have reviewed. If you’re still interested in giving this service a go, head over to the Lingo site and check out the finer detail of the Lingo VOIP package – if not, check out other services we have reviewed in this category to find something to suit you and your business.
