Specifically designed for business users, Broadvoice aims to supply users with all of the tools they need to build a phone system suitable for small businesses – at low cost to the end user. Broadvoice has a number of great features that help make the service ideal for business users. One of the best of these features is Broadvoice’s “multi-presence”, whereby users can connect to the service anywhere where there is a high speed internet connection that is using the same phone number (i.e. the one that’s registered with Broadvoice). This means that businesses that have multiple locations or offices that all operate using the same phone number can utilise Broadvoice across the service as a whole. Call manager and auto attendant facilities mean that all calls are answered promptly and efficiently, while Caller ID and call blocking gives control to operators in the answering and management of calls. Finally, we particularly liked the fact that Broadvoice is completely Softphone supportive, meaning all users can access Broadvoice using only their computers, with no need for a phone handset at all.

Broadvoice is available for $29.95 per month for all users. This fee pays for access to the service as a whole and also provides unlimited calls to numbers in the USA and Canada. This is great news for those users whose business is based entirely in the USA or Canada as total phone costs for these businesses will be capped at just $29.95, making this service great value for money. If not, Broadvoice customers get access to fantastic low-cost per-minute rates to more than 80 international destinations – making Broadvoice a great cost-saving tool for international businesses too!

Although we did enjoy using Broadvoice and checking out what features were on offer here, this service misses out on a spot in our top ten by simply not being quite as good as some of the other services we have reviewed here. A few more features and a small price reduction would give Broadvoice a fighting chance at a top ten spot.
